Wow! It's hard to believe more than four and a half years have gone by since I first showed up here, and almost as long since I started posting my Metramegopolis thread - which is still unfinished. Had quite a lot of fun here and met some interesting people. I know that most of the users rarely paid much attention to me, but that's just life. It's been a good run - from writing my fic. to hosting a forum awards, judging at least one tournament, and eventually being raised to mod. status. Over on the new forum I use the name the Bear. I'm mainly coming by there to update my story which I reposted in its entirety over there so I could eventually finish it (they always say you should finish what you start). So I guess I'll be stopping by over there at least until I finish my fan-fic. (and I'll keep posting it here as long as this forum is available) After that, who knows? Ciao to Farallon, Handy, K-Pon, Damien, Burre, Midnight, G-Storm, Yoshi-Lord, Tjips, MrKaos, CoolKid, Dominus, Marny, Thunderhead and anyone else I've forgotten - too many people have come and gone and my record keeping isn't very good, but Ciao! to you too. Ummm, thanks for the good times? Haven't posted here in god knows how long. I kinda gave up once I lost interest in the show + friends being banned/leaving + forum database crashes. Met some interesting people, learned a bit. Most significantly, I met someone from this forum who has made me very happy, for that reason it has all been well worth it.

I've been an on and off Happy Tree Friends fan since early 2005, and right now I'll watch it once in a while when I have nothing else to do. If what everyone is saying is true, and this place really is going to the graveyard, I've got to say that I will in a way miss this place since this is really the only forum in which I've actually had I guess you would say friends, and people who agreed with my views. Well so long Happy Tree Friends forum, we hardly knew ye!

It's such an interesting thing. This forum provided me lots of joy back when I'd first joined. I'd always sit at my computer hitting F5, waiting for something interesting to happen. Haha. It sounds almost stupid just thinking about it.
Though I've moved on, this place is still in my thoughts. Do I have better things to do? No.  lol. I've made lots of mentions of coming back in the past, but I simply lost interest because of the mass inactivity and board errors.I believe I joined April 17, 2005. That's my story. What's yours? I just figured I'd make 1 last post before the board was destroyed. Also... What's the new forum link?

This is Ice in Chains. I joined in October 2005.
I would say something like "Oh, what a shame, life is going to suck now" but to be quite honest this place lost it's spark for me a long time ago and I find myself forgetting why I even decided to come back today. Nice knowing you folks. Well, those that didn't suck, anyway.

I guess it is pretty much dead... everyone has either transferred to the social network or given up altogether. The new website's great from some points of view: the creator blogs are fun and Mondo's crew seems much more active and interested. It just doesn't feel the same as a community. On the other hand, posting on this website feels kind of useless now, sadly.
Still, I'm happy to see that some people still bother to leave a message here, even if it's nothing more than 'where is everyone'.  Last edited by Burre : 10-31-2009 at 04:34 AM.
